Belfast Coffee Gatherings

Emily very kindly offered to host our first Belfast Coffee Gathering in May and we have just had a second one in July. Not only did we get a choice of coffee, tea or squash, but also Emily made to die for freshly baked cakes, that totally ruined my diet, as they were so morish! Whoever thinks that Escorts have no other talents, really don’t have a clue!

The venue is very discreet and fairly easy to find. It has plenty of space and hopefully we will be able to offer more than tea and coffee in the future, with possibly some holistic and therapeutic services , again using the talents of the sex workers attending.

The first meeting had a great turn out with mostly local sex workers turning up. Please be assured that it is all anonymous and no one has to say who they are or where they work etc. We’re there to support each other and chat about anything that takes our fancy. It does not have to be work related. However, on this occasion we were all concerned about the pending law change and how it may impact our safety and change the way we work. It was also good to see how we all worked differently and give each other tips and ideas in general.

For me it was lovely to meet other local girls working in the area and to know that I was not alone. One of the problems with being an Independent sex worker, is that you are not encouraged to work together and often there is a feeling that it is better to keep yourself to yourself and keep your nose to the ground, but in doing that you are also isolating yourself and not always doing things the best way, as you have to work it out as you go along. Just listening to these other ladies confirmed where I was going right and gave me food for thought on areas of my work that I had been looking at changing. It gave me confidence to make those changes and see how they worked. It also reminded me that sometimes what works for one, doesn’t work for another, so not to get worried if things need changing again.

Another thing that I liked and felt reassured by was the sheer variety amongst us. We all came from totally different backgrounds and were all working in different ways. For some reason people seem to think that all sex workers come from the same mould and that is so not the case. It even seemed that we often had very different clients too. This can be for many reasons, but even the time of day we work can make a profound difference. It really makes you wonder about this stereo type given to sex workers and just how very out of touch the media are and not due to ignorance, but because they desperately want to hold on to this stereo type. From my knowledge the BBC have interviewed at least three of us present at this coffee morning and none of us conform to that image and yet they still use it, nay they manipulate in order to use it, as I recall one interview Laura Lee gave had a picture of her by the City Hall with a claim that she was ‘looking for business’, which she evidently wasn’t, as she is not an outdoor worker and was posing for the picture for the interview. Isn’t it about time they showed the reality and stopped flogging a dead horse?

I believe our next meeting will be in the autumn and I’m really looking forward to it. This is a unique opportunity to meet people that know and understand how isolating this job can be and a chance to share our experiences, or just talk about the price of fish. Entre el 4 y el 6 de junio de 2015 SWAI participó en una conferencia con profesionales del sexo y soportes de 8 países europeos. El evento organizado por el ICRSE se celebró para conmemorar el 40 aniversario de las protestas de Lyon donde los trabajadores del sexo ocupaban la Église Saint Nizier para exigir sus derechos y poner fin a hostigamiento de la policía. El evento, visto como el inicio del movimiento de trabajadores de sexo europeo moderno ahora es marcado cada año por el día internacional de los trabajadores del sexo celebrado el 2 de junio.

Este año una vez más los trabajadores del sexo se reunieron en las calles de Francia a la imparcialidad y los derechos de demanda

En los años 40 ya que el Lyon protestas de que trabajadoras sexuales se han convertido en más organizadas, formando grupos, colectivos y sindicatos. A pesar de esto sin embargo todavía nos enfrentamos tanto en el camino de la discriminación, el estigma y la falta de apoyo.

En Irlanda y Francia sexo los trabajadores enfrentan leyes criminalizando a sus clientes – las leyes que se han demostrado para causar el estigma y aumentar la violencia.

En lo países bajos y Alemania sexo los trabajadores enfrentan el exceso de regulación y legislación represiva. En Amsterdam 100s de sexo los trabajadores y sus partidarios han tomado las calles para protestar por el cierre de ventanas en la zona roja contra los deseos de los trabajadores y privándolos de lugares seguros para trabajar.

También en Alemania nuevas leyes planean introducir cheques de salud obligatorios, algo que va en contra de las recomendaciones de las Naciones Unidas SIDA.

En sexo de Noruega los trabajadores son expulsados de sus hogares por la policía bajo la apropiadamente titulada "operación sin hogar". También se ha enfrentado a aumento de la violencia y trabajadoras del sexo inmigrantes incluyendo del EEE enfrentan deportación forzada.

Között a 4. és 2015. június 6. SWAI részt vett egy konferencián, szexmunkások és 8 európai ország támogatja. A rendezvény szervezésében a ICRSE tartották, a Lyon tiltakozások 40th évfordulójára ahol prostituáltakat elfoglalt Église Saint-Nizier jogaik és rendőrségi zaklatás formájában vége. Az esemény, mint a kezdete a modern európai szex mozgalom most jellemzi minden évben nemzetközi szex dolgozók nap június 2-án ünnepelték.

Akce pořádané ICRSE se konalo k 40 výročí protestů Lyon kde prostitutky obsadil Nizier Église Saint, aby se domáhat svých práv a skoncovat s policejní šikanou. Událost, vnímána jako začátek moderní Evropská sex pracovník hnutí je nyní označen každý rok mezinárodní Sex zaměstnanci den oslavil 2 června.

Letos opět prostitutky shromáždily na ulicích Francie poptávka práva a spravedlnosti

V 40 letech od Lyon protesty prostitutek se stal více organizované, tvořící skupin, kolektivů a odbory. Navzdory tomu však stále čelíme příliš mnoho diskriminaci, stigma a nedostatek podpory.

V Irsku a Francii sex pracovníci čelí zákony kriminalizace své klienty – zákony, které bylo prokázáno, že způsobují stigma a zvýšit násilí.

SWAI byl hrdý na to, stát se našimi kolegy pracovníky v Paříži a mluvit s jedním hlasem:

Chceme skoncovat s stigmami a skoncovat s kriminalizace a s respektováním lidských a pracovních práv.

O evento organizado pelo ICRSE foi realizado para marcar o 40º aniversário dos protestos de Lyon onde profissionais do sexo ocuparam a Église Saint Nizier para exigir seus direitos e para acabar com assédio policial. O evento, visto como o início do movimento de trabalhador do sexo europeu moderno agora é marcado todos os anos pelo dia internacional de trabalhadores de sexo comemorado no dia 2 de junho.

Este ano mais uma vez os trabalhadores do sexo se reuniram nas ruas da França à justiça e aos direitos de demanda

* Queremos a descriminalização completa

* Não há criminalização dos nossos clientes

* Trabalho direitos como dado a outros trabalhadores

* O direito de trabalhar em um ambiente seguro

Nos 40 anos desde que o Lyon protestos de que trabalhadores do sexo têm tornam-se mais organizados, formando grupos, coletivos e sindicatos. Apesar no entanto ainda enfrentamos muito em termos de falta de apoio, o estigma e a discriminação.

Na Irlanda e França sexo trabalhadores enfrentam leis que criminalizam a seus clientes – leis que foram mostradas para causar estigma e aumentar a violência.

No Países Baixos e Alemanha sexo trabalhadores enfrentam o excesso de regulamentação e legislação repressiva. Em Amesterdão 100s de sexo os trabalhadores e os seus apoiantes tomaram as ruas para protestar contra o fechamento de janelas no distrito da luz vermelha, contra a vontade dos trabalhadores e privando-os de lugares seguros para trabalhar.

Também na Alemanha, novas leis planejam introduzir controlos obrigatórios, algo que vai contra as recomendações de UN AIDS.

Em sexo Noruega trabalhadores são expulso de suas casas pela polícia sob o apropriadamente intitulado "operação sem teto". Eles enfrentaram também o aumento da violência e trabalhadores do sexo de imigrantes incluindo do EEE enfrentam deportação forçada.

Între 4 şi 6 iunie 2015 SWAI a luat parte la o conferinţă care implică sexul şi sprijină din 8 tari europene. Evenimentul organizat de ICRSE a avut loc la 40 de ani de la proteste de Lyon în cazul în care lucrătorii sexului ocupat Nizier Église Saint pentru a cere drepturile lor şi să pună capăt hărţuirea de poliţie. Evenimentul, văzută ca începutul mişcării moderne Europene sex lucrător acum este marcată în fiecare an de Ziua internaţională a lucrătorilor de Sex sărbătorită pe 2 iunie.

În acest an din nou sexul s-au adunat pe străzile din Franţa pentru cerere drepturile şi corectitudine

În Irlanda şi Franţa sex lucrătorilor faţă de legile criminalising clienţii lor – legi care s-au dovedit a provoca stigmatizarea şi creşterea violenţei.

În Olanda şi Germania sex lucrătorilor faţă legislaţiei represive şi reglementarea excesivă. În Amsterdam 100s de sex lucrătorilor şi susţinătorii lor au avut în stradă pentru a protesta faţă de închidere în jos a windows în districtul lumină roşie împotriva dorinţelor lucrătorilor şi a le lipsi de safe locuri de muncă.

De asemenea, în Germania noi legi planul să introducă controale obligatorii de sănătate, ceva care merge împotriva recomandărilor ONU SIDA.

În Norvegia sex lucrătorilor sunt dat afara din casele lor, de către poliţie în aptly intitulat "funcţionarea fără adăpost". Ei s-au confruntat, de asemenea, creşterea violenţei şi imigranţi lucrătorii sexuali inclusiv din Zee se confruntă deportărilor forţate.

Between the 4th and 6th of June 2015 SWAI took part in a conference involving sex workers and supports from 8 European countries. The event organised by the ICRSE was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the Lyon protests where sex workers occupied the Église Saint Nizier in order to demand their rights and to end police harassment. The event, seen as the start of the modern European sex worker movement is now marked every year by International Sex Workers Day celebrated on the 2nd of June.

This year once again sex workers gathered on the streets of France to demand rights and fairness

* We want full decriminalisation

* No criminalisation of our clients

* Labour rights as given to other workers

* The right to work in a safe environment

* End to police harassment

* To be given full agency and allowed to speak for ourselves

In the 40 years since the Lyon protests Sex Workers have become more organised, forming groups, collectives and trade unions. Despite this however we still face much in the way of discrimination, stigma and lack of support.

In Ireland and France sex workers face laws criminalising their clients – laws which have been shown to cause stigma and increase violence.

In the Netherlands and Germany sex workers face repressive legislation and over-regulation. In Amsterdam 100s of sex workers and their supporters have taken to the streets to protest the closing down of windows in the red light district against the workers wishes and depriving them of safe places to work.

Also in Germany new laws plan to introduce mandatory health checks, something which goes against UN AIDS recommendations.

In Norway sex workers are kicked out of their homes by the police under the aptly titled “Operation Homeless”. They have also faced increased violence and immigrant sex workers including from the EEA face forced deportations.

 

SWAI was proud to stand with our fellow workers in Paris and to speak with one voice:

We want an end to stigma and an end to criminalisation and for our human and labour rights to be respected.

Května den se slaví po celé Evropě jako mezinárodní den pracujících.

Jeden den byly tradičně slavíme, pracovníků a poptávka spravedlivé zacházení a práva od našich zaměstnavatelů a vlády.

Letos poprvé SWAI zúčastnila března May Day v Dublinu.

Šli jsme bok po boku s ostatními pracovníky, slaví naše profese a žádá o našich práv.

Prvomájové oslavy v Irsku a jinde, kde jsou obecně vést politicky levicový skupinami a odbory. Tyto skupiny mají tradičně bojoval za pracovní práva pro pracovníky a obzvláště zranitelné pracovníky, kteří jsou vystaveni riziku vykořisťování.

Nicméně existuje jedna skupina zaměstnanců, které odborové svazy zejména nechat v Irsku – sexuální pracovníci.

Odborové hnutí v Irsku byl členem TORL. Svazy z elektrikářů zdravotních sester se vyslovil proti práv sexuálních pracovníků a pracovnic.

Vskutku ICTU (irské Kongres odborových svazů) předložila dokument k soudci oddělení konzultace o prostituci, říká, že

"prostituci nelze považovat za práci"

S tímto jeden řádek je The ICTU odepření práv 100 ze sexuálních pracovníků a pracovnic, organizovat a mají stejná práva a výhody jako vítězství a líbí jiné pracovníky.

Tento postoj ICTU a irské svazy také jde proti postavení dalších národních i mezinárodních odbory politiky na sex práci.

Mezinárodní organizace práce, které ICTU je členem vydala zprávu v roce 1998 ve skutečnosti zvané "The Sex sektoru: The hospodářské a sociální základy z prostituce v jihovýchodní Asie"

V němž se uvádí:

"Za těch dospělých jedinců, kteří svobodně si vybrat pohlaví práce, politické obavy měla zaměřit na zlepšení jejich pracovních podmínek a sociální ochrany a zajištění toho, že mají právo na stejné pracovní práva a výhody jako ostatní zaměstnanci."

V různých zemích sex pracovník organizace organizované do nebo připojil odbory.

V roce 2002 červené vlákno prostitutky práva skupiny v Nizozemsku tvoří unie a stal se členem Unie konfederace FNV

Na Novém Zélandu sjednotit unie začali organizovat prostitutek v roce 2004, aby pro ně požadavek práva jako všichni ostatní pracovníci.

Dnes v Novém Zélandu sex pracovníci mají plné zaměstnanosti práva a jsou chráněny proti diskriminaci a pracovišti obtěžování.

V Irsku žádáme odbory a příznivci levice postavit se za práva sexuálních pracovníků a pracovnic, pro jejich ochranu důstojnosti a respektovat.

Stejná práva hnutí bojovali a získal pro ostatní pracovníky.
