Safety & Reporting Crime

If you feel you are in immediate danger while working in Ireland call 112 or 999 and ask for the Gardaí /Police. Save this number in your phone.

If you have been a victim of a crime you can make an official report at any Garda Station in Ireland. If you are unsure if you want to make a report, you can contact SWAI to discuss your options or contact the Single Point of Contact for Sex Workers in Ireland (Republic) Lorna and Karen on 086 828 2515.

Making a complaint about a Garda
If you have been subjected to unprofessional treatment, harassment or abuse by any Garda (police officer) you can make a complaint to the Superintendent where the Garda is stationed or to an independent organisation called the Garda Ombudsman.
